First, Courtney Gilardi updated us on the Pittsfield situation and suggestions for how you or anyone you know can help. March 16th, the Pittsfield Board of Health decided to move forward with the order for cease and desist, however they have not decided which order to use yet.

Courtney says the hope is that a cease and desist order will be available by the next BOH meeting on April 6th - but there are no guarantees and no one has committed to this being the date.

Next we got an update from Cindy Franklin on the letter she and Mary Bauer are working on for the NTIA. It is currently in final draft form and we will be distributing once it is finalized so groups will be able to sign on. Thank you to Cindy, Mary, and Odette for all their hard work on this!

 

Odette then went over a proposed blueprint she created for New York on broadband funding on state level. This blueprint gets down to the granular level on exactly how states should go about distributing money and broadband and Odette is going to share this document so that we are able to edit it and use in each of our states. We'll be attaching this in an upcoming email, so make sure to look out for that!

 

 

After Odette, Susan Clarke spoke about clothing she is selling that is protective from higher microwave radiation frequencies, and a property in Florida she is involved with that is offering a retreat to those who are chemical sensitivity, electromagnetic sensitivity, and perhaps even noise sensitive.

 

For anyone considering doing something similar, Susan is encouraging people to purchase property outright and not to finance. We again discussed the mission statement and group name. Odette made a suggestion for a mission that included several suggestions people have sent us, and others discussed formalizing our group officially prior to coming up with a mission. Kent Chamberlin suggested taking our time because we are covering so many different topics right now. We are still figuring this all out, so bear with us!
