Hi First, here is the call replay: https://youtu.be/XbyK-UivElc Please note: This is going to be a somewhat discussion-heavy National Call follow up because there was only one speaker and the rest was updates, action items, initiatives etc., which can be found in the extensive attached agenda PDF (thanks, Odette!). SPEAKERS / GUESTS - Jenny DeMarco and Mary Bauer
talked about what is going on in Virginia regarding "smart" meters:
- More than a half a dozen families were given an ultimatum and told to choose between a smart meter or no power after they reinstalled an analog meter months ago following a
Virginia-based power company Dominion Energy putting “smart” meter on their home without their permission or knowledge.
- At this time, two families haven't had power since November 9th and one family had their power cut the 18th. Two of the
families have children under ten, and one of those families has a child on life support at the hospital, a 2-year-old, and a 9-year-old. Temperatures have been freezing in Virginia.
- Dominion is ignoring serious medical condition forms and
saying that they are doing this for the "safety" of the customer.
- Virginians for Safe Technology, Children's Health Defense Virginia Chapter, and the Virginia Medical Freedom Alliance put out a joint press release last week. (see
attached)
- VA4ST is helping some individuals file with the State Corporation Commission and continuing to try and get coverage on this.
- VA4ST created a Fact vs. Claims PDF on "smart" meters (attached)
ACTION ITEMS / EVENTS This is
the only action item/event mentioned that is occurring before the next National Call for Safe Technology - please see attached agenda for the rest: - IARC and ANSES Meeting on Brain Tumor Links to RF: Scientific Conference on Radiofrequencies and Health, November 23, 2022
- https://ptolemee.com/radiofrequences/index-en.html
- Presented by The French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety and the International Agency for Research on Cancer: https://www.microwavenews.com/short-takes-archive/iarc-anses-rf-review
- Additional details: IARC and ANSES:
- This conference will be devoted to the work that the two agencies are carrying out or funding to characterise exposure to radio waves and explore their health effects. For each of the four following topics covered, an
introductory talk and several scientific presentations will be given:
- exposure and symptoms
- radiofrequencies and the brain
- radiofrequencies and cancer
- exposure to radiofrequencies
- The conference will end with a
round-table discussion, during which several participants will discuss the challenges raised by the rapid development of technologies in terms of the long periods of time needed by researchers and scientific experts to identify and assess risks to human health. This event will be held in person or online.
INITIATIVES Please see the agenda, as most
have been written in past follow up emails. INDUSTRY TRIPE DISCUSSION ITEMS/INFO OF INTEREST - Sidnee Cox shared about Los
Angeles County lawsuit, over the removal in local ordinances to appeal new cell towers. Apparently there is a conflict of interest in LA, where telecoms are being given priority over the public to close ‘the digital divide”.
- Here is a link to the recording of the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors meeting on Tues., Nov. 15th for changes in County Code- Titles 16
and 22: https://bos.lacounty.gov/media-archive/
- It is Agenda item # 7 public comments start with Susan Foster around 2:40:54. The vote happens at 3:09:35.
- There were 177 published comments opposed and only three in
favor.
- Nicholas Martin in the UK shared that someone may have stumbled on a WHO medical code for Microwave radiation - XE6JQ. Could it be used for those injured by RFR?
- 5G Westchester is starting an initiative to get 60 Minutes to cover the wireless issues like cell towers and EMS. We will circulate for
sign-ons!
- Irene shared suggestions on what to use instead of the word "concern":
- WHEN WRITING -– PLEASE always replace the word, concern -– & commit to NEVER EVER using it. Here’s why: A concern is an uneasy state, an uncertainty -– and an interest that’s personal. Its use is too emotional, too mere, too meek, too mild, and non-substantive for the urgent matters
at-hand.
- Here are some alternatives:
- authentic, well-established facts, harms, hazards, risks, and adversities
profoundly deleterious effects causal relationships confirmed studies and findings vital and valid issues pertinent and credible matters legitimate and significant red flags major and negative impacts substantive references and evidences clear and convincing arguments compelling reasons for opposition - There is no need to diminish or
undermine facts with such a word as "concern." The donors, lobbyists, and paid "experts" are the true opponents, the outliers, the fringe, the unhinged –- the ones with an axe to grind against these TRUTHS that are exponentially far and above any mere “concern."
- Odette mentioned again www.AlignAct.com which is an app/site to reach legislators!
- 22 years ago, Mobile Telecommunications and Health/Review of the current scientific research, ECOLOG-Institute that was commissioned April 2000 by T•Mobil (DeTeMobil Deutsche Telekom MobilNet GmbH)
- Barb Payne shared some practicalities (somewhat differently presented than the usual) of how to practice safe tech and e-hygiene for anyone new to the topic and EMS/EHS sufferers and their supporters. The first link is a very
brief, basic “e-Hygiene 101” and the second link is more detailed like “e-Hygiene 201”.
That is it for now
- we hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! Sincerely, Jenny DeMarco Virginians for Safe
