We also wanted to send
an update on the Florida Board of Acupuncture meeting which will be discussing EHS:
Due to the
efforts of a remarkable Florida acupuncturist, Kathy Veon, the issue of patient safety and patient access regarding EHS will be discussed by the Florida acupuncture licensing board on Friday, December 2nd.
The agenda and
call-in details for the board meeting are posted: AGENDA (state.fl.us)
Most of the
items on the agenda will be addressed very quickly, it is anticipated that the topic of patient safety and EHS will come up by about 9:30 am.

I will be presenting the information on the Agenda, as well as a call to action which will be open for vote by the Full Board. Prior to that, I will ask for Public Comment. If there is anyone on the call who wishes to speak, I will call on them at that time. I ask that speakers be brief with comments. I’ll give each speaker 2 to 3
minutes to speak to appeal to the Board Members as to why this is an important issue for patient / public safety and the safety of the Acupuncture profession.
It is likely that
not everyone will be able to speak due to time limitations, but the more people who are able to be on the call, the more aware the board will be of the magnitude of concern.
