Hi We hope you had a great three-day weekend. Here is the follow up email for the Friday, October 7th National Call for Safe Technology. First, a replay of the call: https://youtu.be/-1PjSuaQVw8 DISCUSSION ITEMS - We welcomed new attendees - it's great to see new faces on the call!
- Many of the discussion items were briefly touched upon to save time for speakers - these you can find in the attached agenda.
- Nicholas Martin from our UK counterparts says they are launching a legal case aimed at street lights since they have a frequency of light of 50 nanometers and small cell antenna/5G. The British government doesn't contest the science illustrating
this light is bad, so the government can't argue with this. We will be sure to circulate information when it is made available!
- NOTE: Please see the speaker section for calls to action in addition to the action items section. We had more speakers this call, so we've put the calls to action under each speaker instead of separating them.
SPEAKERS/GUESTS - All but one include calls to action! - Miriam
Eckenfels-Garcia, Director of Fellowships and EMR Program for Children's Health Defense (CHD) and Stephanie Locricchio, who hosts The People's Testaments on CHD TV and is now working on this topic, talked about the revival of CHD's EMR Program and their current action alerts/projects.
- Kent Chamberlin spoke about New Hampshire's exciting news that NH's House Science, Technology and Energy Committee had a Bi-partisan vote 15:3 supporting the recommendation that further legislation is warranted on wireless radiation exposures:
- The public should be educated on the
pros and cons of radio frequency radiation exposures.
- Municipalities should be informed of wireless risks and what they can do legally to protect local communities from cell tower placements.
- Legislation Legislation will be drafted and introduced for the new legislative session in January!
- If you haven't already, please send a THANK YOU to those who voted in favor, as well as the bill sponsors below (don't mind the odd formatting - this was copied from the Massachusetts
for Safe Technology email):
- Ellie Marks talked about the experts who testified in the brain cancer/cell phone case(s) - including the fact that Chris Portier wasn't allowed to testify.
- Mary Bauer:
- Update on Loudoun County Tower - it was denied at planning commission
initially and then went to BOS and they suspended the rules and approved the tower, even though It's on historical property, and there are endangered species on the land.
- Mary is working to help fight it now by getting the state historical society involved along with shining local news attention on it.
- Mary also Touched on what she learned about smart meters and their lack of FCC compliance, and posed a questions to the group regarding possibly trying to fight this on a
larger scale (outside of states). We will be discussing this further.
ACTION ITEMS (please see speaker/guest section for the rest) - Moira Hahn needs
support, testimony in final hearing to try and stop the 5G antenna going up right outside her home, making her move (she is EMS).
