We just learned that a hearing was held on 3-21-24 on S. 3909 at the US Senate Commerce Committee to share military spectrum with non-federal entities. Witnesses included businesses, Wi-Fi Forward and Notre Dame Univ -- not one safe technology advocate, scientist or engineer.
We are quickly putting together a submission for the Committee.
The Committee is accepting
comments until Wed, 3-27-24. Be on the alert for a draft to be circulated tomorrow for sign on. We will especially need lots of sign-ons from those states whose Senators are on the Committee.
If your Senator is on this list, please call their office NOW and get a telecom / national security staffer appointment ASAP. Tell them it's urgent because various satellite/telecom bills are in committee now and you need to discuss with them. This applies whether you've already met with them or not. Let us know and Charles and Odette will coordinate to be there.
