If you are engaged in Section 106 historic preservation review, here is the updated reference guide as of 11/19/23 with an example of a successful submission and our town halls discussing the process.
If you have not yet applied for consulting party status, it's important that you do so to protect your historic landmarks -- quickly, because you may only comment within 30 days after CityBridge submits its information to the NY State Historic Preservation Office. When you apply, you will be informed if you are still within the alotted time or if you've missed the deadline. The process is
moving very quickly now.
When applying you must show a "demonstrated interest," e.g., how you're engaged in preserving your neighborhood, that the tower is close to your building. Organizations are more easily accepted than individuals. When preparing
your analysis of why the 5G tower is inappropriate in your area, your analysis must be robust and substantive. It is not sufficient to say you don't want it in that location. See the Sec 106 reference guide attached for more ideas.
Good luck with the
Sec 106 process.
