2. QCB6 - Wired Broadband presented at QCB6 regarding the rally held at PS 144 against the 5G Tower, my presentation at the Van Court Association in whose district PS 144 is located and Council Member Lincoln Restler's strong rebuke of OTI as "disgraceful" for lack of meaningful public notice and participation.

3. Federal: HR 1 One Big Beautiful Mess of Spectrum.  HR 1 has passed with Section 40002 intact. It gives the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) spectrum auction authority, allowing an unlimited number of antennas to be added to structures with existing antennas without public notice or approval.  Important to call and email your federal Congress member and Senators to voice your objection.  There are 40 other telecom bills in Congress that we have to defeat.  They need to hear from you now, please!  See below for how to do that.

7. Sec 106 Review - NYC Historic Preservation
   1. ALERT! Notices are being posted in the New York Post by Crown Castle and Boldyn (CityBridge) to put 4G/5G antennas on utlity poles.  You must respond within 30 days after the posting to state any adverse aesthetic effects under federal law, otherwise, you will lose your chance to oppose them. 
   2. The 30 day time clock starts when Crown Castle files applications with SHPO; but since we don't have transparency on when the filings have been done, it may be safer to calculate from the posting date of the relevant ad in the NY Post.  
   3. BECOME A CONSULTING PARTY!  THE GENERAL PUBLIC CAN ALSO COMMENT.  See attached document entitled "Section 106 Review ... " for instructions. Deadlines to file comments on many 5G Towers have already passed and others are fast approaching.  YOU NEED TO ACT NOW!
   4. The NYS Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) has not objected to Towers in many locations. Those are missed opportunities.

7.  Congress / Senate.  Please schedule meetings with federal, state and local lawmakers to talk about the federal telecom bills and bridging the digital divide.  New telecom bills are being introduced in this new Congress.  We'll keep you posted,.  Charles Frohman and I will present on the bills.  Please schedule around our availability: Contact me at hello@thenationalcall.org or reply to this email.

Here are actions to take today, please:

1. Find Your U.S. Representative: Use the usa.gov website or call the congressional switchboard at 202.225.3121. If you are calling the U.S. Rep's office, ask for the name and email of the telecom staffer.
2. Email the attached explanatory document to the U.S. Rep.  Make sure to include your full name and address in the email so they can see you are a constituent.
3. Call your U.S. Rep: Tell the Rep's receptionist: "I am opposed to HR 1 Section 40002 because an unlimited number of antennas can be added to structures with existing antennas without notice or approval under Section 6409 exemption (47 USC 1455), while the FCC has ignored a court order to review its outdated emission limits for human safety."
